  • Description

    Born one year after the opening of the Gate Yuki has never known a world without the constant threat of monsters. Luckily for him his father was a high-ranking courtier and was able to keep him relatively safe. Yuki often had to stay indoors due to his albinism, and his poor eyesight and strange appearance gave him a hard time with many tasks that he'd normally be expected to preform. However when he dreams he can see clearly. This talent was noted by his father fairly young, and Yuki was sent to a temple to train with the Awakened (a sect of priests that specialize in exorcism). He is currently working towards becoming an Awakened Oracle, which is a group within the Awakened that have the special ability to transcend into other planes of existence while asleep and while awake sense places where the boundaries between our world and the other worlds are weak.

    Because of his condition (albinism) Yuki has poor eyesight, a high sensitivity to light, and easily burns in the sun. He spends most of his time indoors studying, reading (he has to hold the book VERY close to his face) or daydreaming. Occasionally he will follow his dog to the theater where they sell naughty books, but generally he stays by himself. The place he lives and trains is a dangerous week's journey from his father's home in the capital, so he rarely gets to visit.
